Meeting Location
We will meet at 9:00 am at the municipal parking lot on Meadow Street across from the music school (next to the bridge). From there groups of 3-4 people will fan out to several sites along the Westfield and its tributaries.
Event Description
At 9:00 we will meet and assign groups of 3-4 people to different sites along the river and its tributaries. We’ll supply bags, gloves, directions to the sites, etc.. You should wear clothes that can get wet and dirty, and it’s a good idea to bring along a (preferably reusable) bottle of water. At the sites, you’ll bag up the trash and leave it in a spot to be picked up by the city or state (depending on the site) the following Monday. We ask that you record how much trash (and what type – baggable, tires, etc.) at your site.
Most groups will be done by noon; we expect everyone will be done by 1:00.
