Meeting Location
We will meet at the parking lot entrance of the New Fort River apartment complex and head east towards Fort River together. You can park on E. Hadley road or at Groff Park (10 minute walk from site). The site is also on the bus line! The address of the apartment complex is 166 E Hadley Rd, Amherst, MA 01002
Event Description
We will be picking up trash alongside E. Hadley road and on the Fort River trail and stream bank! We will meet at 9:30 AM and promptly start the trash collection from there. We will collect until 12 PM. We can work in pairs to both collect trash and tally each item for data collection at the site. Please wear appropriate footwear (i.e. closed-toed shoes that can get dirty, hiking shoes are great!). Long pants are also suggested as we will be in grassy areas along the streambank.
