Event Description

Hi! Thanks for thinking about joining our cleanup effort! Most of us will meet first at the Wildflower Alliance’s Bowen Center at 147 Magazine Street, Springfield, MA. You are more than welcome to join us there or at our “Ironman Start” meeting location.

The Riverwalk/ bike path itself is accessible – smooth and flat with minimal breaks in paving. Those of us who want to can stay on the path and pick up trash there. If people feel up for it, folks can clean up below the bike path (especially the river side). Please be aware of the possibility of needles, poison ivy, and steep and unstable banks. We will have bug spray, sunscreen, latex gloves, and trash bags available. Feel free to bring your own if you prefer! Staying hydrated is important, so remember to bring water/ something to drink!
