Meeting Location

Please enter Colt park at the intersection of Wethersfield Avenue and Morris Street. After entering the park take Morris Street towards the playground, which you will see on your left. Morris Street is one way. A little further down is a parking lot on your left. We will meet in the parking lot, called Morris Street parking.

Event Description

We will meet in the Morris Street parking lot at 1:00pm, then disperse throughout the park to pick up litter. We can focus on the playground and the soccer field. The clean up will continue until 4:00pm. Trash bags, recycling bags, and gloves will be provided. However, it is highly recommended to bring your own leather gloves to protect your hands and fingers from sharp objects you may come across, like broken glass. However, please do not dispose of sharps and needles in the trash bags. Those have to be left in place for proper disposal. Please also wear a hat, sunglasses, and comfortable footwear. Please bring a reusable water bottle and hand sanitizer.
