Wear Appropriate Clothing
- Closed-toe shoes (boots or sturdy sneakers), waterproof would be recommended if walking along the stream
- Long sleeves and pants recommended
- Hat and sunscreen for sun protection
- Bring bug spray
- Rain gear if needed, this is a rain or shine event
During the Event
- Check In On Arrival, 9am
- Sign in at the registration table
- Receive instructions, supplies, and a safety briefing
- Use Safety Gear: Bring gloves, pickers, and (if you have them) safety vests
- Trash bags and some buckets will be provided
- Be Aware of Hazards
- Children, if in attendance, may not pick up needles, broken glass, or hazardous items
- Watch for slippery areas, poison ivy, or wildlife
- Respect Nature and Others
- Do not disturb plants or animals
- Be courteous to other park or trail users
- Stay Hydrated and Take Breaks
- Bring a refillable water bottle
- Rest in the shade when needed
