Meeting Location

Meeting location and parking at 231 Airline Avenue in old ballfield adjacent to the Tilcon Crushed Stone Plant. We will gather here and then enter the site through the Meriden Boat Club or along a pre cut trail. We will start gathering at 930 AM and proceed to the river front around 10 AM.

Event Description

We will gather starting at 930 and proceed around 10 AM to the riverfront via the Meriden Boat Club. The site has a lot of downed trees and underbrush. Helpers should wear long pants, goods shoes or boots, and gloves. Clippers, loping shears, or small saws can be brought, but not necessary. We mainly are picking up litter and clearing any under brush that is in our way. We will provide bottled water, but workers may want to bring their own drinks and snacks. The main event is from 10 to noon on 9/28.
For anyone paddling to the site, it is directly across the river from Harbor Park Middletown and just down river from the Meriden Boat Club.
