Pequabuck River Cleanup

Site Name

Pequabuck River at Route 177

Meeting Location

Park at 58 N Washington Street, Plainville (the parking lot with Lemon Foods taco truck)

Event Description

We need a small group of dedicated volunteers who aren’t afraid to get wet and dirty! Our cleanup group will head into the Pequabuck River at the Route 177 crossing and pull a variety of tires and trash from the river. Participants should wear wading attire and sturdy shoes; we will cancel for thunder. Some of the tires are embedded in sediment and may require pry bars and/or pulling equipment (provided by FRWA) to dislodge. Any participants with a truck who are willing to help haul our findings to the dump would be greatly appreciated!
