Mayberry Elementary Community Clean-Up Day
Location: Hockanum River at Labor Field

Join us for a meaningful day of service as the Mayberry Elementary community comes together to care for our environment! Last week, our students learned from the CT River Conservancy about the importance of protecting our rivers and watersheds. Now it’s time to put that knowledge into action!

Schedule of the Day:
9:00 AM – Welcome & Sign-In (meet at Labor Field near the Hockanum River)
9:15 AM – Safety briefing and supply distribution (gloves, bags, and tools provided)
9:30 AM – 10:30 AM – River & field clean-up activities
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM – Group wrap-up and reflection

What to Bring:
Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes that can get dirty
A reusable water bottle
Sunscreen, hat, or other sun protection

Optional: your own work gloves or trash pickers if you prefer

Additional Information:
This is a family-friendly event—all ages welcome!
Students must be accompanied by an adult.
Community service hours can be documented for older students.

Parking is available at Labor Field.
