PARKING:
Plenty of room for parking on Paper Mill Road in Bellows Falls, VT right at the mouth of the Saxtons River into the Connecticut River.

VOLUNTEER HUB: go to the table set out next to the Saxtons River Interpretive Sign right next to the parking lot of this trail to the river. I will put out waivers to sign and all supplies that I have. Feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

PARKING:
Plenty of room for parking on Paper Mill Road in Bellows Falls, VT right at the mouth of the Saxtons River into the Connecticut River.

TRAIL TO THE RIVER:
From the parking lot look for the Interpretive sign in the grassy area….this is where the narrow dirt trail is to the river and the cleanup spot.

CONDITIONS:
The trail is narrow, packed dirt lined with weeds/plants.  Trail ends at large boulders to step across/scramble over. Small sand beach area and very large area covered with rocks to walk over, be prepared with proper footware as the rocks could be ankle turning.

WHERE TO FIND TRASH:
food wrappers etc line the trail down to the river, look in the weeds, some trash in and on the rocks, a large car tire is buried in the sand

WEAR:
sunscreen and bugspray if desired, layers and shoes that work for you for hiking, some areas are wet

ALERT: I did not see any poison ivy along the trail but please know what it looks like and if not ask someone.

RAIN OR SHINE:
We will do this cleanup rain or shine. Group Leader will email everyone if conditions are too dangerous, otherwise consider this event is occurring.
