Event Description
Sunday September 29, 2-4pm
Join the Friends of Lake Wallace as we do trash pickup and trail maintenance along the new phase of the Lake Wallace Sensory Trail and around the loop trail, including grabbing what we can reach from the Observation decks. Where we can’t reach by hand, we’ll use rakes and nets (and fishing gear, if you’ve got good aim!) We’ll also do basic trail maintenance, clipping and lopping overhanging greenery and raking organic matter off the stone dust parts of the trail.
Bring water and dress for the weather. Wear long pants, long sleeved shirt, and closed-toe shoes. Bring gloves and any rakes, clippers, loppers, small shovel or other landscaping tools that you are most comfortable using and can carry with you. (fyi, the far portion of the trail is rough, so keep that in mind if decide to use a cart/wheelbarrow/bucket
