We will meet up at 8AM for a safety briefing and cleanup coordination at the intersection of Clapp Street, Fort Hill Road, and Old Springfield Road in Easthampton near the entrance to the Mass Audubon Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary.
Event Description
8AM – 12PM Noon Saturday, September 27, 2025: This is a shore and water cleanup event. Boat, canoes and kayaks are welcome but participants are responsible for their own water safety. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Our cleanup group will be broken into subgroups to focus cleanup on specific areas on and near the Oxbow. Wear clothing appropriate for garden cleanup, boots and a hat for sun protection. Parents with children will be cleaning areas along the Rail Trail and secondary roadways located away from heavy vehicular traffic.
Boat, canoe and kayak access to the Oxbow for this cleanup is via the Route 5 State Boat Launch or the boat launch at the Hulberts Pond bridge on Old Springfield Road.
