Island on west side of CT River, upstream of train trestle

Site Description

It is on what once was an island that formed on the river with a large sandy beach. The trash is located off the beach in an area with plant growth and trees. It might be possible that the island now has a land bridge to the shore. This would only be accessible on foot from the Hartford Riverside Wooded Trail or by boat.

Trash Description

grills, food waste, tarps, paper and plastic trash, two city trash containers.
