Event Overview
Join us for a community trash cleanup at Alsop Meadows! Help us protect and preserve the natural beauty of this local park, woods, and river-adjacent area by clearing out litter and keeping our environment clean for everyone (and local wildlife) to enjoy.
Schedule of the Day
9:00 AM – 9:15 AM: Welcome & Check-In
Meet at the main parking area (off Waterville Road). Grab your cleanup supplies, sign in, and get a quick safety brief.
9:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Cleanup Action
Groups will fan out across the trails, open meadows, and wooded sections to collect trash and recyclables.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Wrap-Up & Celebration
Return to the main meeting spot to drop off hauled trash, weigh our totals, and celebrate our impact together!
What to Bring
Sturdy Footwear: Closed-toe shoes or boots are required, as some areas can be uneven or damp.
Work Gloves: If you have a preferred pair of reusable gardening or work gloves, please bring them (we will also have some extras on hand).
Water Bottle: Stay hydrated! Bring a reusable bottle filled with water.
Weather-Appropriate Clothing: Dress in layers and consider wearing long pants and sleeves to protect against brush and bugs.
What We Provide
Trash grabbers, trash bags, high-visibility vests, and gloves will be supplied.
