Site Description
There is a small tributary that parallels the northern edge of the meadow field, starting from the parking lot at Verite. Access the tributary with a short (10-15 foot) bushwhack and find a lot of trash in the channel and streambanks. Note potential contact with poison ivy. There is very little trash in and around the meadow field, and access to the main branch of the Fort River is very difficult. Expect wet feet if picking trash from the tributary. ***This site was “restored” in Sept 2021. It is much easier to access now.
