We will meet at the Ledyard Clubhouse in the morning (around 8 am), load some kayaks or canoes, and drive over to Sumner Falls.
Event Description
We will meet at the Ledyard Clubhouse in the morning (around 8 am), load some kayaks or canoes, and drive over to Sumner Falls. Once there, we will unload, go over our plan for the cleanup, and split up into an on-water and on-land group. The on-water group (containing either someone who is swift water rescue certified or a whitewater leader) will gather trash in the water (making sure not to stray towards the rapids). The on-land group will gather trash along the shore. Depending on the amount of trash we discover in prior days, we may bring snacks to the cleanup.
