Event Description

10th Annual Lake Wallace Cleanup with CT River Conservancy’s Source to Sea
2-4pm on Sunday September 28 2025

Meet by 2pm in the parking area by the Belchertown Municipal Skatepark.
Wear clothing to match the weather, water, bugs, and dirt. Bring water, gloves, and the kinds of tools useful for landscaping/trail maintenance – clippers, trowels, rakes, buckets, weed whackers/trimmers, loppers, nets for reaching into the water, etc.

Depending on the size of the group, we’ll go together along the Lake Wallace Sensory Trail towards and around Foley Field, or we’ll split up into two groups and head in opposite directions. Our goal is to collect any and all trash along the Trail, as well as to remove plant matter from the Trail bed, and trim back overhanging/crawling plants to widen the Trail back to 5 feet.

When we’re done, we’ll meet at the Pocket Park by the parking area, count the items of trash we collected, and celebrate our success. Oh, and a group photo!
